RMV Reminder Service

If you have had your Mass. License expire lately, you know that the Registry of Motor Vehicles will no longer send out reminders for you to renew and sometimes that can be very inconvenient. However, there is a new service on the https://secure.rmv.state.ma.us/RMVReminder/intro.aspx website that will help you register with a secure website that will send either an email, text message or phone call at no cost to you. Check it out.

Write Out Loud @ The Library!

Write Out Loud @ The Library?? Yes! The Edwards Library in Southampton wants you to come write, share and explore the world of words (WOW) with your friends. For grades 5-7, and starting Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 pm, Madeline Hunter will help you tap into your yet undiscovered creative talent. Poetry, memoirs and short stories will be explored every week in this 6-week workshop.

Blast off on Starship Adventure this Summer!

It's Summer Reading Club time at the Edwards Library and this year's theme is Starship Adventure at Your Library! where you can find adventures of all kinds here all summer long.

Sign-up starts Tuesday, June 30. Join us for 6 weeks of having fun, and exercising your 'reading muscles' with a chance to win great prizes, including one of two mp3 players and life-sized Star Wars figures, C3PO or R2D2!

Roger Tincknell and Davis Bates will present a "Constellation of Stories and Songs" on Friday, Jul 10 at 1:30 pm. The Summer Reading Club final party will be "Beautiful Future, Children's Multicultural Music Program" with Kate O'Connor on Tuesday, August 4 at 1:00 pm.

Come and Play Wii!

Through the generous donation of a patron, the library now has a Wii Game system! We will have a demonstration on Tuesday May 26 from 7-8 pm. All ages are welcome. Children under 10 must be supervised by an adult.

Pay Your Overdue Fines Online

You can now pay replacement book costs, or other fees of $5.00 or more online using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card. You can also make a donation to your library! Just go to http://www.cwmars.org and look for the "E-Commerce" tab on the card catalog page for your library.

Important Changes to Holds Beginning February

In light of the worsening budget situation and likely upcoming cuts to the regional delivery service, the C/W MARS Executive Committee voted to reduce the number of holds C/W MARS patrons can make from 20 to 10.

The new limit began on February 2. Old holds over the 10 limit will remain on your record until filled or deleted
