Book Talk by Award-Winning Author, John Vaillant

Edwards Library is pleased to present award-winning author John Vaillant, Saturday, October 16 at 6:30 pm to talk about his new book, "The Tiger: a true story of vengeance and survival." John is a freelance journalist whose work has appeared in many popular publications including National Geographic and the New Yorker.

The Tiger is a true story of a poacher in Russia's Boreal Forest who hunts the endangered Siberian tiger to sell its body parts for Chinese medicines. The poacher makes his fatal mistake when he wounds a tiger capable of calculated revenge.

Join us for an exciting discussion of this compelling book about Russia and its inhabitants, and the politics of wildlife conservation.

Southampton Knitting Club Resumes Thursday

Hi Everyone! It's time to get out your UFO's (unfinished objects) and bring them to our knitting group on Thursday, September 16 at 6:30 pm at the library. All knitting levels are welcome because we use the peer coaching system.

We will have a "Kneedle Exchange" at our first meeting. Bring any extra knitting needles you want to exchange for those you need to fill out your collection. We are an easy-going group and welcome new members.

Shakespeare Without Fear - Time Change to 1 pm

This fun and enriching workshop will last one and 1/2 hours and begin September 21 at 1 p.m. Joins us for a non-threatening discussion of 5 of Shakespeare's plays and then enjoy the viewing of the appropriate video and an easy discussion of the language.
