Donate to the Seed Lending Library

Susan McNamara will be at the May 18 Book and Bake Sale to talk about the new seed lending library which is being formed to save organic and heirloom seeds donated by local gardeners. What is a seed lending library?  You "borrow" organic or heirloom seeds, grow them and enjoy the vegetables or flowers, then save the seeds and bring them back in our " Seed Library" envelopes for us to lend next yeat. Since the 1900's, 94% of seed varieties have been lost. When we share seeds, we keep our local food supply strong!

Seeds will be available to "borrow" in Spring 2014. If you are interested in hearing more or volunteering, please call Susan McNamara at 527-2230.
